Our nurses will work with the Cabell County EMS to get participants trained in CPR, first aid, and skills used in the school setting.   

Our Schedule:

Morning session (3.25 hours): 1/2 the group are in CPR and 1/2 the group are in first aid/skills training
Afternoon session (3.25 hours): switch the groups and repeat

First aid training will last 90 mins and the skills training would last 90 mins.  In the skills training, participants will go station to station learning about medication administration, g tubes, head lice, anaphylaxis/epi-pens, diabetes, seizures, diastat administration & asthma.  There will be a brief overview of each topic then allow participants to complete a brief quiz and a hands on practice for the skills needed under that topic.  Participants will not need to complete the Administering Medication module in MOODLE because it will be covered during this session.
